Boys and Girls born in 2015 - 2018 (Fall 2024 Season)
(and 4th Graders born in 2014)
Developmental soccer is the second level of our introductory curriculum. Individual technical skills and small-sided games are the focus for the U7 & U8 players while the U9 & U10 players focus on 1v1 skills and tactical/spatial awareness. Fun and discovery learning are always a large part of the Developmental age groups. The Developmental season is 5-6 weeks in length.
U9/U10 teams consist of 10-11 players and play 7 a-side games. Teams usually meet twice a week on weeknights training on one night and playing a game on the second night of the week. Parental/volunteer coaches follow a specially designed curriculum created by our Developmental Coordinator. U9/10 Teams will be coed, boys and girls will play together on the same teams.
U7/U8 teams will move to a 6-7 player roster and play 4 a-side games on a smaller field. Teams will meet twice a week on weeknights training on one night and playing a game on the second night of the week. Parental/volunteer coaches follow a specially designed curriculum created by our Developmental Coordinator.
Playing a smaller-sided game on a smaller field will bring us in alignment with age-appropriate norms established by the US Youth Soccer. Players will experience more touches of the ball and more time in possession of the ball, which in turn will allow for better technical development, more opportunities for decision-making, and better overall development of our players.
FALL 2024 DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM
Boys and Girls U7/U8 (children born in 2017 & 2018)
Boys and Girls U9/U10 (children born in 2015 & 2016 ) plus 4th graders born in 2014 - Teams are coed.
Program Description
All teams will be led by a parental coach, there will be no academy training or coaches. If we have a shortage of parental coaches the club will hire coaches for those teams. Boys and Girls will continue to have separate teams/divisions in U7 and U8. U9/10 will play coed, with boys and girls playing together.
COACHES ARE NEEDED, PLEASE VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME! Even just to be a team manager and HELP the coach when he/she has conflicts. Click the volunteer button on the registration page if you are willing to help out! Head Coaches receive a full reimbursement of their child's registration fee!
In the fall all teams are newly formed. In the spring we try to have teams carry over from the fall season - with the understanding that if there are greater/lesser registration numbers, teams may have to be split up. If your child desires to change their team from the fall, please note that in the request box in the registration system.

FALL 2024 SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
6 week season:
August 19-23 - two team practices
August 26-30 - one practice & one game
September 2-6 - one practice & one game
September 9-13 - one practice & one game
September 16-20 - one practice & one game
September 23-27 - one practice & one game
September 30-Oct 4 - Make up dates
A total of THREE team practices prior to the first game.
U7Girls (2018) do all activities on Tue/Fri schedule at 5:30
U8Girls (2017) do all activities on Tue/Fri schedule at 6:45
U7Boys (2018) do all activities on Mon/Thur schedule at 5:30.
U8Boys (2017) do all activities on Mon/Thur schedule at 6:45.
U9/10 Teams (Coed) (2014-2016) do all activities on Tue/Fri schedule at 5:30 and 6:45.
