The Kearney Soccer Club invites your team to one of the longest running tournaments in Nebraska with over 20 years of tradition. Located in the middle of the state, along I-80, teams from east, west, north and south converge for great soccer competition. The Kearney Soccer Invitational is open to Classic or Recreational level teams formed to compete in the 2008-2009 US Youth Soccer seasonal year. The Kearney Soccer Invitational Tournament attracts teams from all over Nebraska and some surrounding states including Norfolk, Holdrege, North Platte, Columbus, Ralston, Grand Island, Ogallala, Hays (KS), McPherson (KS), Hastings, Lincoln, Schuyler, Omaha, Bellevue, Scottsbluff, Pierre (SD), Gering, Cozad, Yankton (SD), Wichita (KS), Sioux Falls (SD), and Kearney. Kearney is recognized as having some of the best fields in the state of Nebraska.

Round Robin (3 game minimum)

LAWS OF PLAY: Play will be governed by the FIFA Laws of the Game, except where amended by US Youth Soccer Rules of Play, and/or the Tournament Rules. A complete set of rules will be sent out with the acceptance letter or you can contact the Tournament Director.

GAME LENGTH: US Youth Soccer regulation game lengths. If inclement weather, the Game Director shall have the authority to change the above format as follows:
1. Relocate and/or reschedule games.
2. Cancel all or part without penalty.

REFUNDS: No refunds will be issued after acceptances have been sent. In the event of tournament cancellation due to inclement weather or any other event beyond the control of tournament organizers, entry fee will be refunded minus $75.00 administration fee. After 1st game has been initiated, a refund of $50.00 will be issued. Once a team has begun its 2nd game, no refunds will be provided.

SUBSTITUTIONS: Unlimited substitution following US Youth Soccer guidelines.

ENTRY FEE: U9-U10 = $225, U11-U14 = $275.00, U15-U19=$325.00

ENTRY DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 27th, 2009 - Entries may be accepted after the deadline if needed to complete the brackets.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Players must be registered to the teams making application. U-10 and under teams consisting of not more than 12 players, U11 and U12 teams consisting of not more than 16 players, and U-13 and up teams consisting of not more than 18 players, must be registered and in good standing with their US Youth affiliated state association. Teams may have up to 4 guest players. Please be advised that Nebraska does not permit players to play with hard casts.

Any team participating must carry US Youth Soccer 2008-2009 player's passes. All teams must follow the applicable procedures of the US Youth Soccer Travel Policy. Out-of-state teams must have US Youth Soccer Permission to Travel papers on file at your state association office. All teams are also required to carry written medical releases from parents/guardians in case emergency medical care is necessary.

Referees: We will only be using US Soccer Registered Referees with a 3-Referee System for each game for U11 and up games. You can never have too many referees. Referees accompanying teams to Kearney are invited to "call" games during the tournament. Individuals interested in refereeing may contact Erick Schwartz at 308-382-9325, or e-mail hayden4@kdsi.net.

REFEREE ABUSE - Referee abuse will not be tolerated during the tournament. Referee abuse by a player, coach or fan will be reported to their Home State Association within 48 hours of the end of games. The player, coach, or fan will be removed from the soccer complex and will not be allowed to return. Field Marshalls will be utilized.

The Tournament Committee will make team selections. Primary consideration will be given to promoting top level competition and geographical diversity. Notice of acceptance will be mailed 30 days before the tournament.

Coaches who coach more than one team need to make sure they have an assistant available at the tournament as we will not be able to accommodate every request for no conflicts. Additionally, it is unreasonable to request no early morning Saturday games. By June 15th the schedule will be posted on our web site - www.kearneysoccer.org.

The entry fee will be forfeited if a team withdraws after being notified of its acceptance.
